Ian Boddy / Erik Wøllo concert
The Capstone Theatre, Liverpool, UK, April 20th 2024

The pair each played a solo set followed by a joint on stage performance combining Boddy's use of analogue modular synths with Erik's haunting Ebow guitar and flowing keyboard lines. They have previously released three studio and one live album on Boddy's DiN label and their last album, Revolve (DiN73) received the Schallwelle Award in Germany for best ambient album in 2023.

After many years and many electronic music albums, Wøllo returns home in a sense. Created on an assemblage of acoustic guitars, the album sees Wøllo explore the instrument he first loved. With reflections of his two previous guitar-music albums - Guitar Nova (1998) and Blue Sky, Red Guitars (2004), the twelve moods are an intimate collection showcasing a fresh perspective on Wøllo's artistic range and versatility. Erik masterfully manipulates the acoustic guitar with elevated clouds of dulcet layered sound and resonant shimmering melody.
